More Than Just a Certification

The Rescue Diver course is about learning to prevent problems before they happen and confidently manage situations if they do. It shifts your perspective from focusing only on yourself to being aware of everything happening around you.

You’ll learn to:

  • Recognize stress in other divers
  • Prevent and manage emergency situations
  • Assist tired or panicked divers
  • Conduct in-water rescues
  • Respond to missing diver scenarios
  • Provide effective surface support

This course builds real-world skills that make every dive safer—for you and everyone around you.

You Don’t Need to Be an Expert

Many divers assume Rescue Diver is only for highly experienced individuals—but that’s not the case.

If you’ve completed:

  • PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent)
  • Emergency First Response (EFR) or similar CPR/first aid training

…you’re ready to begin.

The course is designed to challenge you in a supportive environment, helping you grow your skills step by step. You don’t need to have rescue experience—just a willingness to learn and participate.

What the Course Looks Like

The Rescue Diver course combines knowledge development, confined water practice, and open water scenarios.

Knowledge Development

You’ll learn through eLearning or instructor-led sessions, covering:

  • Dive accident prevention
  • Self-rescue techniques

Practical Training

You’ll practice key rescue skills in controlled settings before applying them in real-world scenarios.

Open Water Scenarios
